MW Books was established in 2009 by book connoisseur, book designer, and painter, William Gelbart, in Garden Bay, BC, Canada. We are a small press that crafts high-quality editions in many genres, including collections of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and children's stories. Our work is inspired by the natural beauty of our British Columbian surroundings.

MW Books cherishes the art of the book, with its venerable traditions of typesetting and design.  We bring to the world the cultural and linguistic diversity of  B.C. writers and illustrators, as well as work translated from other languages.

For each book we publish, we use two methods of printing. We publish (1) a fixed edition of a minimum of 350 copies for local distribution, and (2) print-on-demand copies (POD) for global distribution.  We are partnered with  Lightening  Source, an Ingram Book Company subsidiary, offering all the advantages of fully-integrated print, digital, wholesale and distribution services. All our  current books are always in stock and available to all Ingram customers, as well as  through major on-line retailers:  Amazon,  Barnes & Noble and others.

In addition to soft and hard cover books, we are proud to offer some of our titles in Limited Edition Series. Printed on the highest quality paper, these books are hand-bound in leather and cloth , gold stamped, and individually numbered. Please look for the "Limited Edition Series" mark next to the book title.
